Himalayan Salt –  The Mystery of the Mountains Exposed

Himalayan Salt –  The Mystery of the Mountains Exposed

Himalayan Salt Can Help You In many ways The Himalayas are not only the highest peaked mountain range in the world, but their mineral salts contain immense power to change and help the human body. You may have heard about Himalayan salt. In fact, you may even be using it right now. After all, it’s been increasingly making its way into kitchens across the country and beyond. But odds are, you’re not taking advantage of its many different uses. Most use it like they would traditional salt, and many people, whether they use it or not, aren’t aware that there is a dramatic difference between standard table salt and this natural salt. Table salt contains 97.5% sodium chloride and 2.5% chemicals, like moisture absorbents and iodine. And, as its dried at temperatures of over 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, that excessive heat alters its natural structure. Himalayan Crystal Salt is by far the purest salt on the planet – it contains no pollutants, toxins or chemicals. It also has a unique flavor and a wealth of health benefits, as it contains the same 84 natural minerals and other elements found in the human body – and, as the minerals exist in colloidal form, that means they’re tiny enough for the cells to easily absorb.   This pink-hued salt, of course, got its name from where its derived from, the Himalayan mountains, the tallest mountains in the world. Some 250 million years ago, in the same place these very peaks now stand, there was a primordial sea. In that ancient body of water was a pristine ecosystem, and as the...

Transformational Life Coaching – Meet the Coach

Transformational Life Coaching – Meet the Coach

Gosia Gorna – Transformational Life Coach We’ve talked about Transformational Life coaching but what about our coach herself, Gosia Gorna? Gosia’s name itself is interesting – it is short for Margaret in Polish. Gosia came to England at 21 years old and says it was a miracle how everything developed for her. She was looking for a job and found some work in a health food shop. The owner of the shop asked her if she would cook vegetarian food for his family, so she said yes.  This was a totally new to her so the owner sent her on a course to develop  macrobiotic cooking skills – a course that would change the whole direction of her life! Gosia learnt so much by cooking for this family. After a while she was approached by an American lady to cook for her sister who was suffering from breast cancer.  She took the job and started a career cooking for people who were unwell. The American lady’s sister became better and the cancer went into remission.  As she was recovering, this lady decided to go and meet her mother one day.  She found she became unwell again soon after, which was a puzzle. Whenever she went to meet her mother, the symptoms got worse.  Gosia was still cooking for her, started to see a pattern and discovered that her patient hated her mother and her inability to forgive her mother was blocking her health and recovery.  Gosia realised that changing diet alone was not enough to really help this patient so she started research on how the mind affects...

Ditch it Don’t Live it ! by Joy Wisdom

Mindfulness is a popular concept in modern times Amazing to hear Breakfast news announcing Parliament holding a mindfulness gathering.  Explained as meditation and breathing. How far from the reality and truth of mindfulness.   I consider this a small passive element of mindfulness. Why do we keep diluting the real concept? I have been teaching mindfulness since 2005. Mindfulness is about the choices we make and how/why choices will manifest in our lives.  About how we are conditioned to behaviour and thinking that is not ours, creating behaviour to suit, serving us or not. How choices of parents and lineage continue to haunt, limit and handicap. Mindfulness is thinking before speaking.  Activating innovation into life. Considering outcomes to self and others, thereby avoiding ramifications and consequences. We continually find ourselves in repetitive situations, events and Ground-Hog-day defaults.  Driven by tradition, culture and parents. Our brain pathways are formed from the womb.  Transference of likes, dislikes, positive and negative locking in base line living from parents, lineage and culture.  Sacrifices, vulnerabilities, promises and vows are all mixed in with mindfulness, mindfulness is not as simple as it seems.  Mindfulness affects us in health and energetics. As does Inherited Generational Trauma (IGTA). Requiring fundamental action. Jettison the old and embrace transformation In 5-days jettison repetition and IGTA influences. A compassionate transformational workshop combination of skills for life and interactive education with emotional clearing daily allowing liberation from limits in day-to-day scenarios and relationships. Includes a big agenda with comprehensive education, interactive with skills and understanding of how to avoid and embrace new ways of thinking, improving self-worth and core strength. Learn...

Inherited Generational Trauma and Absorption – By Joy Wisom

Joy Wisdom discusses Extracts from her book ‘Mirror Image’ Facts and Solutions to IGTA By Joy Wisdom Society is very aware of rising mental health issues through media headlines.  The Young Royals, Prince William and Prince Harry, are speaking out regarding drug dependency and prejudice around psychological disorders. Those suffering from Mental Health are at an all-time high, dramatically affecting society, from young children to adults. 2016, media reported quarter of a million children were affected by mental health issues, England alone. Inherited Generational Trauma and Absorption (IGTA) is a new concept. Linked to emotional behaviour and mental health issues giving alternative insights to why large numbers of people are suffering today. From my point of view, IGTA answers a lot of the questions around health, psychological and emotional states being experienced by people.   Essentially with IGTA, our internal abundance and happiness can be compromised from the very start, mirroring traumatic events and experiences –   making us more prone to stress and overwhelmed. These days, it is quite common to hear about people suffering from panic attacks, depression, anxiety and trauma. Normal feelings, remembering nothing else, diluting the quality of people’s lives. This is where IGTA is prevalent.  There is no logical explanation for under par living or being overwhelmed by our emotions. – those days of hiding under the duvet feeling unable to cope, putting a brave face to the world.  We have all been there. And it is affecting vast swathes of society, from celebrities to our next-door neighbours. There are so may people hidden behind closed doors, not speaking out. I meet people who suffer from...

Autumn competition on the Topic of Healthy Living

Autumn competition on the Topic of Healthy Living

This is all about YOU! We love writing about Healthy Living and sharing our ideas, experience and tips with you. But, this time we want it to work both ways. What aspects of Healthy Living do you most want to read about? We get lots of feedback from followers on our social media, however it would be great to pick YOUR brains and create an exchange of ideas. Especially as of course, we can learn so much from you too. Almost everyone loves to eat, and as we often say, healthy should not mean boring, but sometimes seeking to ‘be good” risks avoiding foods that, perceived as fun and naughty. In reality,  very few foods are actually naughty, we are just programmed to think so. (There are some that have no nutritional value at all, and only provide taste and empty calories… but that’s another story!) Yes, certain foods can lead to health issues when taken in excess but we also believe in treats and not punishment, an attitude that creates a positive relationship and more realistic expectations. Treats can be healthy. We all know someone who makes the best Victoria sponge, shortbread, pasta salad etc. etc. For example, I have a relative who makes the best apple crumble in the world and I would never attempt to replicate it. I also have a couple of signature Healthy cakes that I’m rightly proud of. What about you? Do you have any amazing Healthy recipes to share with our Healthy Living followers? Any special tricks you use to make your dishes stand out and add a little extra “je...
Relaxing Rituals

Relaxing Rituals

Or Receiving Pleasure from the Performance   When it is time to relax or take a breather, don’t you find that sitting down to a hot drink is a perfect solution? We have a whole ritual around hot drinks and actually most of us do, without even realising.  It is fair to say many Brits now drink coffee far more than we used to – people are always walking around with the ubiquitous paper/plastic (non recyclable) cup with requisite lid a, looking dreadfully busy and important. However, sitting down to enjoy these drinks is vital because drinking on the go leads to scorched lips! If you are lucky enough to have the time, preparation is everything for your hot beverage. There is a lot of etiquette around the preparation of a great cup of tea, which we can’t go into right now, but it is probably fair to say that they type of crockery you use will make a difference to the overall experience. In reality, many of us use mugs, but if you’re drinking a fancy, delicately flavoured tea, then maybe you could consider a fine china cup? Also warming the cup or mug before adding any tea is a ritual that really does make a difference in our experience, though we’re not quite sure why. Also loose leaf versus tea bag is another topic that really never goes away. In reality, practicality may dictate your tea type, as some varieties are not found in tea bags, making loose leaf more exotic and expensive. And there is also the idea vessel, the teapot, that makes everything taste...
